Home Depot Tree Shaping Description

This project is to professionally shape artificial Christmas trees/items, on both shelving racks and the floor, according to quality standards expected by the retailers and tree manufacturers. Items range from tabletop size to approximately 10-feet, with the possibility of a 12-foot tree at select stores. Ladders may be used. Store leadership must satisfactorily inspect trees/items after shaping. Completion forms must be sent electronically to Williams Creative Group immediately upon completion of each store.

Expected Dates: Each Home Depot store has a corporate-mandated window of time for project completion. Shaping is to be completed by the end of this window.

Expected Pay: Home Depot bases pay on the total tip count of the trees/items, not the number of trees in each store. Accurately denote on your completion form which trees you have shaped, and the tip count will be calculated automatically. Pay does not include travel expenses, insurance or benefits. This is independent contract work.

Estimated Time Commitment: Depending on the experience and skill set of the designer, as well as the number of items, completing a project can take up to 16 man-hours total. In special circumstances, a helper might be approved, which often reduces this to 7-8 hours. Helpers must be registered with Williams Creative Group and meet the same background check and drug testing requirements as contracted designers.
